Episode # 323 - Plays and Playwrights for the New Millennium Reunion

David Dannenfelser and Gary Rudoren
On the occasion of the launch of Plays and Playwrights for the New Millennium – the e-book, Martin Denton reunites with four of the original playwrights first published at the beginning of the decade. This, the first book in the popular Plays and Playwright series of anthologies, has been out of print since 2004. Now it is back and available as an e-book.
Martin speaks with Gary Rudoren ("So, I Killed a Few People..."), Robert Simonson (Cafe Society), David Dannenfelser (When Words Fail..., and Lynn Marie Macy (Crunching Numbers. Martin urges each one to tell what their play is about.
Then it's catch-up time as Martin and each of the playwrights talk about what's been happening and what they have been up to since the play was published. This makes for an interesting listen. The e-book contains bonus material--new short works by many of the playwrights. Learning about these bonus works provides an extra reason to listen to this episode.
